This was our first trip that was managed and organized totally by anyone else. All we did was buying the travel package and that’s it. This kind of traveling is the most easiest and stress free as all of the responsibility goes to organizators in this case Tez Tour. If some of you are afraid to travel by doing this you can’t go wrong! You don’t even have to think how to get to the city and back to the airport.
We had a 3 night stay in a Holiday Park hotel which was rated 4 stars, however compared to other 4star hotels it was pretty far from reality. I guess that’s what you get when going with an organized trip by someone else :D. Anyway we had a great pool and that’s all what you need in a resort.
The purpose of this trip was actually to lay in front of the swimming pool or sea. Also it was fun to walk along the Riviera of Golden Sands city full of shops, restaurants, bars and clubs. Long and yellow sand beaches was all the way the shore so you can already understand that it’s a resort and a nightlife city. In Bulgaria prices are slightly lower than in most Europe countries so you can really have fun here. The atmosphere is also great and you feel pretty safe even if you are walking after the midnight.
As long as I am not the person that can enjoy the sun and water for days we went to the Varna which was really easy and cheap. Taxi cost us only around 8Euro from Golden Sands to Varna. Just keep in mind that you have to look for taxi company called Triumf as other ones takes 2-3x more.
Our first stop was actually going a little bit outside of Varna which was Stone Forest – one of the most famous attraction in Varna. The place was really unique and worth your attention if you are in Varna or somewhere near. On the other hand there is not much to see and 20-30mins is more than enough.
After visiting the stone forest we went to the retro Museum which was in the shopping centre Grand Mall. The museum is really small, but at the same time clean and has some interesting stuff there. Nothing really impressive but it brings back some nice memories especially if you are from 80s or 90s.
In Varna there isn’t a lot to see or try, so after visiting grand mall we didn’t find anything else that we were interested, but if you like architecture you can find some interesting churches and buildings as well.
All things considered Varna and especially it’s resort Golden Sands is a great place to visit for a 3-4 days holidays. It suits both for families and for those who want to have fun and party. Prices are friendly as well as service so you really don’t need a lot of savings for holidays in Bulgaria. Have fun and enjoy!
